Not as luxurious as I expected
I had high hopes for this silk pillowcase because I love my bamboo sheets from Cozy Earth. I washed and dried it before using it, following the care instructions exactly and even using a detergent specifically made for silk.I’m not completely satisfied with it, though. I think part of what I’m noticing is simply the difference in the silk itself. Cozy Earth uses 19 momme silk with a sand-washed matte finish, while my Slip pillowcase is 22 momme and has a smoother, more traditional silky finish. The Slip feels thicker, silkier, and more luxurious, while the Cozy Earth pillowcase feels thinner and more matte by comparison, which just isn’t my preference.I also don’t love that it doesn’t have a zipper closure, although I knew that before purchasing.Overall, I don’t think it’s a bad pillowcase, but if you prefer a thicker, very smooth, luxurious silky feel like Slip, this may not be the best choice. I’ve decided to return mine.

Silky slumber
Beautiful silk, with a beautiful sheen! It probably won’t hold my pillow well, but it’s definitely not getting any stars off for that. I have not washed it yet so I cannot attest to how it holds up in the wash.
