Overhyped purchase. After a few weeks with baby, I wish we had skipped this bassinet and gone with a simpler, more affordable option. This is a large, bulky piece. The base takes up a lot of space, and when it’s positioned close to the bed (which is one of the features that drew me to it), it actually makes it difficult to get in and out. I end up feeling stuck on my side. It’s also not mobile at all. That may not seem important at first, but it ended up being a big downside for me. I really wish it had wheels so it could easily move into the living room during the day. We actually ended up buying a second bassinet just for mobility. If you’re planning to do night shifts with a partner, being able to move the bassinet from one side of the bed to the other is really helpful—but this one makes that nearly impossible. It’s massive and a real ordeal to move at all. The push down side was helpful after my C-section, but it wasn’t necessary. A standard bedside bassinet with a simple drop-down side would have been just fine. It’s a nice product, but not worth the money—even if you have it to spend. Overall, my takeaway is that I overspent by a few hundred dollars on this item. Also worth noting: the return policy is very restrictive. You have 30 days from delivery, and the product must be unused. If you purchase it ahead of your baby’s arrival, you’ll likely miss the return window—and if you try it even once, you’re stuck with it.
