Vesuvio by Byredo, a richly pigmented eyeshadow palette created by Lucia Pica and inspired by the Neapolitan paintings of the eighteenth century depicting the mythical volcano Vesuvius and its eruption on the sweeping landscapes around Naples.

Crafted for instinctive experimentation with a luminous yet weightless finish, Vesuvio features eighteen entrancing colors, delivering rich color payoff while lasting up to twelve hours. Warm and cool-toned pastels like lilac, watery green, subtle blue, pale yellow and soft pink mingle with natural tones of gray, brown and taupe between intense pops of bright orange, pink, copper and bronze.

The palette is housed in a mirrored case adorned with a motif inspired by the volcano itself, reimagining Vesuvius as an abstract work of art.

Questionable packaging choice

I get that we're all trying to be eco conscious but this is a big palette with a big mirror that could have broken in transit. The fact that it arrived intact amazed me as I've had horrible experience recently with another eyeshadow palette that was sent in a measly bubble mailer. For the palette itself, there's 2 shades that look exactly alike in the pan. Not a big deal personally but that might be someone's turn off.
