Feels heavy like waterproof but it’s “resistant”
Size down, this coat is generously relaxed. I’m 5’4” and hits around hip length, so short but not cropped. Fully lined. It does have two outside pockets. I wish it had an interior pocket.

Must have rain jacket

I am a recent convert to Barbour and I bought this in both colors. It’s very chic with its cocoon-like shape and I love the lining. It’s substantial. So you wouldn’t be able to wear it in these late late summer days in NYC for instance. But I’m so looking forward to rainy days! This is oversized and I’d recommend to size down. I bought the black in a size 12, just because that was the only size available in that color. It was so good that I decided to exchange my light sand 14 with a size 12. For reference I’m a 12-14 in jackets, leaning more recently towards the 14 and found the 12 to be a generous size and just the look I wanted. Slightly less oversized than the picture but still oversized. Very happy with my purchase! P.S.: I still got my usual size (14) in the longer Barbour trench coats, if that helps.
