Loved It for My Growing Baby
I received the Cybex Laya Baby Carrier through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was excited to try it with my 8-month-old son. The look and design of this carrier immediately stood out to me. The fabric feels soft and modern, and the overall design is sleek without being bulky. As a first-time mom, I appreciated how intuitive it became once I was familiar with it. The only small challenge I had was understanding the instructions the first time I put it on, and it took a little trial and error to get everything adjusted correctly. Once I practiced with it and became familiar with the different adjustment points, the carrier was very easy to use. After a couple of uses, I felt confident getting my baby in and out on my own, and the adjustment points were easy to access whenever I needed a more customized fit. The self-adapting stretch fabric was one of my favorite features. My son is a chunky 8-month-old, and I loved how the fabric seemed to naturally mold around his body without feeling restrictive. It provided a secure, supportive fit while still allowing him to move comfortably. The carrier felt supportive for both of us, even during longer periods of babywearing. I also appreciated that the carrier remained comfortable as my baby got older and heavier, providing good support for both of us. This carrier helped me feel incredibly connected to my little one. He loves being close to me, and having him snug against my chest made it easy to comfort him while still having my hands free. The kangaroo pocket was a thoughtful addition and added to that cozy, close feeling. It felt like an extra layer of comfort and connection while we were out and about or just moving around the house. The magnetic buckle system was surprisingly easy to use and quickly became one of my favorite features. The magnets helped guide the buckles into place, making the carrier much easier to secure than traditional buckle systems. I especially appreciated this when trying to put the carrier on while holding a wiggly baby. The buckles felt secure once connected, and the system made the overall experience more convenient and stress-free. Overall, this carrier made it easy to keep my son close while still being able to go about my day. As a busy mom, I loved having a comfortable, supportive carrier that helped me stay connected to him while keeping my hands free. It’s a thoughtful, well-designed carrier that I can see myself continuing to use as he grows.

5 star quality baby carrier
Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to test this baby carrier. I have a newborn and 2 year old which makes this a 5/5 star baby carrier. It can be used up to 33 lbs, which makes this very versatile! I love the modern, sleek look of it, while also being a useful tool for my family. I also love that it is very well made and comfortable. It has great cushioning which is so important while carrying big babies! The mesh also allows it to be breathable in the Florida heat! It is super easy to get on and off, which is so important while juggling two kids. The magnetic buckle makes the process of getting the carrier on seemless. The self-adapting stretch fabric made it easy for both my husband and I to wear it with both kids. It gives a supportive, secure fit that keeps my babies in the right and safest position for baby carrying. They both have been able to fall asleep comfortably or enjoy a nice ride through life’s events! It has helped me to connected and close with my babies, while still being productive and enjoying life on the go. I love the kangaroo feature too, because I get to snuggle extra close. Overall I’d highly recommend this carrier to any mom on the market for a new baby carrier! I am so glad I found it and it will be my new go to for chores around the house or on the go.

Chic and comfy
I received the Layla carrier to review as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This carrier is not only chic, but comfortable, and very useful. When my girl was a newborn she loved to be worn in her carrier but as she got older it got uncomfortable for me to put her in with all the steps that a sling carrier requires while also trying to hold a 7 month old in place. All I needed was to have a structured carrier which I found in the Layla and both her and I have loved it so far. It literally just buckles at your waist, you throw the straps back and put your baby in. That’s it. No more fussing with loose extra fabric or worrying if you left enough space for the baby to fit! I loveee the magnetic buckles and I think my baby likes it too because she keeps playing with it but it’s safe enough where she won’t be able to take it off herself. I am obsessed with the almond color as I also have a stroller from Cybex in the same color. I’m also very excited about that fact that you can wear your baby in multiple ways. My little one is now showing an interest in her surroundings and is very nosey and I know we’ll get a good use of it in the front facing position. We are going to Disney next week and I can’t wait to bring this carrier with me. I know it’ll make waiting in those long lines so much easier on my back and my little one knowing she’s snuggled up on me!! :)

Thoughtful Design for Both Mom and Dad
I received the Laya baby carrier through Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. I consider myself and avid babywearer: grocery stores, around the house, during walks, running errands - you name it. Overall, I've had a positive experience with the Laya! My favorite feature has been the kangaroo pouch on the front. Whenever I babywear, that tends to be the exact place I rest my hands, so having a dedicated pouch felt very comfortable and practical. I notoriously like to test out products without reading the guide first to see how easy they are to figure out, and I have to say that the Laya wasn't the most intuitive for me to figure out at first compared to some other baby carriers I've used, but once I figured it out and adjusted it properly, it felt safe, secure, and comfortable, which are my top 3 must-haves with baby carriers. The fabric was my second-favorite feature - it felt breathable and I love how it can adapt to my 7 month old baby, and my almost 3 year old child. One of my favorite features of this carrier is how much my HUSBAND loved it! In all of my years of babywearing, a carrier isn't something my husband has reached for - until this one. He especially liked the material and design, and felt that it looked less bulky and more masculine than other carriers I've tried. These details made it much more likely for him to carry our baby, which is a win for me! This baby carrier overall offers thoughtful features, comfortable materials, and a design that appeals to men and women alike. While it may take a little practice to get used to putting it on, the comfort and functionality make it worth considering.

Useful Features But Updates Needed
I received the Laya Carrier through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and had the opportunity to try it with my newborn (born in March). I also have a toddler, so I own several types of carriers and rely on babywearing every day. Where I live, summer temperatures regularly reach 90–100°F, so it's important that I have a carrier that is comfortable and breathable for both my baby and me. I really wanted to love this carrier, but ultimately, I do not feel it is the right fit for my needs. From an aesthetic standpoint, the Laya Carrier would not be my first choice. The fabric options and contrasting white stitching give it a somewhat dated appearance. I was especially excited about the Breathable 3D Mesh Fabric feature, but ultimately found it disappointing due to the rough, thick texture of the material. As a result, the carrier was uncomfortable for both my baby and me. The leg loops seem unnecessary. Additionally, I found the shoulder straps uncomfortable, even after multiple adjustments. The fabric felt rough against my skin when wearing a tank top, and the weight distribution seemed slightly off. Perhaps lowering the upper connecting strap to the middle of the back, or using a wider, more supportive strap, would improve overall comfort and support. I like the concept behind the kangaroo pocket, but I did not find it particularly necessary as a feature for increasing closeness with my baby. However, I can see it being very useful in colder weather by providing warmth for both the parent's hands and the baby. I also appreciate the small coin purse and think it would be especially useful for someone who relies on public transportation and needs quick access to a transit card or other small essentials while on the go. For added security, I would likely reinforce it with a small carabiner. The magnetic buckle system is a nice feature and works as intended, making it easy to get baby in and out of the carrier. In my opinion, the most valuable feature is the adjustable neck support, which deserves to be highlighted more prominently in the product's marketing. Overall, I think this is a good product with the potential to be a great one with some refinement. As it currently stands, I would not recommend it to individuals living in hot climates or to those with fabric sensitivities.

Baby carrier
This carrier has is very easy to use and feels very secure for my little one. It was very easy to clasp and put on. It’s something I can do without help! The fabric is breathable and provides comfort. This baby carrier unlike others allowed me to feel closeness allowed me to be able to spend more time with him while doing household tasks. The magnetic buckle system makes it easy to don on and off! highly recommend the Laya baby carrier.

Layla Review
5/5 stars We’ve been using the Laya for a few weeks now and it’s become our go-to carrier. My husband and I both love it — the mesh fabric is incredibly breathable, and it sits noticeably higher than our other carriers, which feels more secure and comfortable for longer stretches. The magnetic buckle is genuinely incredible to use. And getting our son in with one hand is pretty easy! Aesthetically, it’s a step up from what we had before. The brown colorway is sleek and a bit sportier, which we appreciate. It’s also more customizable than other carriers we’ve tried and comes in at a better price point. And most importantly, our baby is happy in it! A couple of notes for the product team: the setup instructions could use some work — getting it on correctly the first time wasn’t totally intuitive. And one specific design request: the bottom waist strap needs a place to tuck the excess straps, similar to what’s already there for the front armpit strap. Small thing, but it would make an already great carrier even cleaner to use. - We received this carrier through the Stellar product testing panel, but we loved it enough that we’re already planning to gift one to a friend who just had a baby. Totally recommend!

Beautiful but a little uncomfortable
I received this carrier as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am a first time mom to a current 3 month old baby. I live in a city and baby wear more than I use a stroller since it’s easier! My immediate thought when I first pulled the carrier out of the box was that it was beautiful. The material is very luxurious and it feels extremely supportive. It took me a lot of time to understand the instructions and learn how to put on the carrier, but once I figured it out it was really easy to put on and adjust. The magnetic buckles are very simple to use and feel secure, and I really enjoyed how easy it was to tighten the straps with one hand once my baby was in the carrier - definitely the easiest of any carrier I’ve used. The coin purse is also a great plus! My biggest drawbacks with this carrier are as follows. It’s a bit uncomfortable on my back - the buckle was digging into me which makes it hard to get long use out of the carrier. The kangaroo pocket is a great touch, but I wish it allowed me to feel my baby directly vs. through fabric. Lastly, it was kind of difficult to get my babies legs through the leg straps. I would generally recommend this as a good carrier, though not my favorite.
