Runs small in the waist

The fabric and pattern is very high quality and I just loved it but I sadly must return. I wear a 12-14 and Aqua pants always fit me before but these are small in the waist by a few inches at size 14. I wish I could keep them and highly recommend them for women with an hourglass shape with a much smaller waist, unfortunately that's not me. I have more of a straight torso and a bit apple shape. 5'7" 183# with long legs for reference.
