Product Details
- Tobacco Leaf, one of the most prized of Chinese Export patterns, was developed circa 1780. The design shows the leaves of the flowering Nicotiana (Tobacco) plant upon which a small phoenix perches bearing a flowering twig in its beak. The joyous exuberance of the Tobacco Leaf pattern is undiminished by time. Tobacco Leaf is an authorized reproduction for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Soooo pretty!
These lovely little plates have a lot of color which makes it easy to match different placemats, floral arrangements, table cloths and napkins. Happy with the purchase.

Why even make the effort to send
I ordered 8 salad/dessert plates and waited 6 weeks to receive. When removing the tags from the back I realized two different versions of the same plate was sent. Plate size, height, and well are slightly off in the two versions. If you're vendor is going to take the time to box and ship, at minimum they should make sure all 8 plates are of one production version. I've reordered another 8 plates and will need to wait another 5 weeks to receive in hopes of getting a complete matching set. Frustration and a waste of time and energy all around. It is a beautiful pattern and I hope to entertain with them soon one day.
