- Mostro is the fusion of sport and lifestyle. It first released in 1999 and has since become one of PUMA's best-selling shoes ever. Affectionally named after the Italian word for "monster" and originally inspired by two sports shoes – a sprinting spike from 1968 and a surfing shoe from the 80s – the Mostro is well-known for its signature hook-and-loop closure system and low-profile spiked sole. Today PUMA brings it back 1:1 in its more aggressive iteration with the slightly longer spikes.

Shoe fit
The straps does hold the shoe well at all. This makes the fit too loose and uncomfortable. If I had known this, I would not have bought them.

Nice leather shoes
I love these shoes. This is the 1st leather pair I've had. They take around two days to break in. Run true to size. I normally wear a 12 with Pumas but these are 11.5 which is my actual size with most shoes.

Awesome Shoes
I quickly became obsessed with this shoe because of the style and color. The brown is a color I’ve never before had in a sneaker. I love them so much, I bought the black and white ones. Just make sure to buy bigger than what you normally wear.

Great Move to Bring Back the Mostro Perf!!
I'm glad you brought the Mostro Perf back!! I do prefer the original style as far as the less aggressive spike tread (classier!), and you should offer the white shoe with the black tread, black straps, but white stripe like you did before. If you do bring those back, I will be stocking up on them... Anyway, Thanks Rodger N. Rogers

Almost perfect
I had these in three different colors when they first came out and loved them - still have the all-black leather pair in my closet looking as old as they are. These are not exactly the same, but still have the close fit, great arch support, and are leather. I am so over plastic shoes. My one complaint is that stupid white piece, which I'm going to blacken somehow because I wanted them all black like the originals.

Blast from the past
These are a blast from the past. I wear a women's 11 or 11.5 and the mens 10 were too small. The 10.5 worked.
