ABOUT THE BRAND:
GAURI KOHLI is a design house creating sculptural objects for the home in marble, onyx, travertine, brass, acacia wood, wool and cotton. Founded in 2012, it is named for its designer, Gauri Kohli, who directs every form, material and finish.

WHAT IT IS:
Onyx, carved from a single block into a long low holder - the surface shaped into a continuous wave that rises and falls to cradle each bottle on its side, head to toe along the length. Nothing is added to the silhouette beyond what the wave itself needs. Vineyard Green pools toward the center; Saddle Brown sweeps cream through charcoal. Bottles resting on their side keep the cork wet, which stops it drying and shrinking on anything held more than a few weeks. The wave is cut from one block, so there is no seam between cradles - the stone rises and falls continuously along the length, and a full rack reads as one line rather than a row.
