LOVE this dress but runs small

The fabric on this dress is super soft and looks expensive. The pearl detailing is super cute. I was so excited when the dress arrived but could barely get it over my hips and only half way zipped. I am 5’4” and 132lbs and normally wear a S/M or 4/6. I ordered a S based on the size chart. There is no stretch to this dress. It is cut so small I almost think I need to try a size L. Unfortunately it is sold out but hope it comes back in stock because I really want the dress to work.
