Gorgeous design material not for me

I really sad to write this, and normally love this artistic brand; the design of this sweatshirt/top is truly gorgeous. The color blocking and choice of colors are stunning. (I got the beautiful olive colored shirt.) However, the material is odd to me, it just feels weird, and will be way too hot to wear. I probably should have looked more closely at the fabric but since it was a sweatshirt, I was expecting cotton or cotton blend and to feel like a regular cotton top/sweatshirt and the actual material is something very different. It's very high quality, and some people may not mind or even like it, but this material is not comfortable to me. I'm super bummed to return it as the design itself and colors is gorgeous.
