The best of the best
Bought this the other day and where do I begin ? Sure, everyone knows Sony makes the best TV's but this one is on another level. The built quality, the remote control, the features, this one has all of it. Played a few games on PS5, the picture is breathtaking. It's simply out of this world. Same goes for watching movies. I've plugged a USB stick to see how it upscales lower resolution videos. Same story. No matter what you throw at this TV, it simply delivers. I was kind of thorn between buying this and a Mini LED TV. But I can tell you now, once you've seen an OLED TV, and especially one made by Sony, all your doubts disappear. My advice to anyone is, go and get one before they're gone. It may be years before Sony makes another Master Series TV. You know, it just occurred to me last knight, as I was watching a movie, that what I was witnessing is greatness. And how often, in this day and age, do we experience that ?

Perfect in Many Ways!
The Sony XR48A90K Bravia 48” fit the bill of what I was looking for. The overall dimensions of the TV were perfect for the area where I intended to place it. The vibrant colors and 4K picture it delivers, as well as great sound, are what I have come to expect from Sony TV’s. That’s why all of the TV’s in my home are Sony Bravia! Damage to anti reflective coating
I saw smudges & dust on the screen. I read the instruction manual on the correct way to clean it. I used a soft cloth with distilled water. I have ruined my new TV accidentally. I have caused abrasions to the anti reflective coating. I see shadows with distortion inside the TV. I am so disappointed. The one year warranty does not cover cosmetic damage. How is cleaning done to avoid this problem?

Sony has produced another pretty good product
I used to own a Sony Bravia and it served well for many years. This one installed well enough and recognized the video signal. The TV was accompanied by a considerable amount of documentation, 3 pamphlets and 3 single page sheets but no User Manual. Everything I own from my car to my camera to my refrigerator has a user manual at least on line as a pdf, but not Sony! I called support and found that this was the Sony way - no User Manual!! Go use the help menu on the TV! Menu drive of course.

Hi KJohn, Your observation is accurate: Sony's current standard practice, confirmed by support, is to replace the traditional, comprehensive PDF or printed User Manual for models like the XR-48A90K with the dynamic, on-screen "Help Guide," which is accessed via the TV's menu to find settings, features, and troubleshooting tips. However, the complete Help Guide is also available as a fully searchable, web-based manual on the official Sony support website, which acts as the ultimate, albeit online, manual for users who prefer to reference documents outside of the TV's menu interface. This OLED is great Easy to set up, and Operate. 42" is a nice size for small med room size. Purchased due to Sony reputation for Build and Durability mostly.

The TV comes with NO remote control
I was all excited to get the new TV installed and when it came time to turn it on and set it up - THE REMOTE CONTROL WAS MISSING! The TV does NOT come with the remote control. It took me over an hour with Sony's customer service - starting from Sales to Technical Support and upon my request, to Customer Relations - before they placed an order for me to have the remote control shipped. Now it still takes another 2-3 business days for the shipment to arrive. I cannot believe Sony is doing this to me and am utterly disappointed.

Has flaws (perfect smaller OLED TV)
I wish OLEDS were made in 32+ inches ____ ***3 complaints*** are 1st there should be labeling/recommendations for zero UV lights (no direct sun, UV film on windows, curtains... = even indirect sun causes bubbles = ***zero warranty*** even if within period @ a hardware issue not consumer fault/error ≈ military discount still "doesn't balance" costs, makes issue — bubble — acceptable) and 2nd no numbered remote (I still use regular TV the #s hrp alot) and 3rd lacking a 3.5mm audio output (such 3.5mm adds additional options for audio out = eARC, BT, 3.5mm @ same sound bars as AVRs allowing multiple sources) _____***POSITIVES*** stand is balanced and has a clean appearance. pictures is great. Sound is flat. (still good for regular TV & streaming = not enough for movies) DSEE and sound bar is recommended (Bluetooth sounds better = eARC to ES AVR is better) ____ Sony PRO production monitors are a better option but comes at a vastly greater pricing
