Colors unlike online photo/strong chemical smell

This rug was very disappointing. It had a very strong chemical smell that only subsided somewhat after more than a week. Also, the colors of the rug, overall, were much more muted than in the picture online. I chose to return it as I had could not take the smell and it just looked "flat" with a prominent "dirty brown" look to it--not nearly as vibrant as the Macy's photo online. The "rust/orange" tones were non-existent and the "white" also was not there. Overall, more yellow than towards white. The rug, however, was in very good shape and was delivered promptly.
