- Squalane: A signature Kiehl's ingredient, Squalane is a highly-refined botanical lipid derived from olives. With an exceptional affinity to skin, Squalane absorbs easily and is known to help replenish skin's barrier keeping it soft, supple and moisturized.
- Aloe Vera: Widely used for centuries in traditional and herbal medicine, Aloe is known to hydrate and soothe skin. Kiehl's Aloe is sourced from the leaf of the Aloe Vera plant.
- Vitamin E: Naturally occurring in plant leaves and skin, Vitamin E is known to help neutralize skin-damaging free radicals. In addition to antioxidant protection, Vitamin E is often used in moisturizing skin care products.

new formulation horrible - bring back old one
What happened to this product? New formulation is less moisturizing and weird taste. Its no different than any other lip moisturizer. The old formulation was so good and the reason I started using the brand 20 years ago. Please bring the old formula back.

Can’t recommend L’Oreal changed Kiehl's formula!
On the website it says this: What it is Our moisturizing lip balm nourishes and soothes dry lips. Smooth on this balm to hydrate lips from dryness in the winter and around the year. A Kiehl’s classic since the 1960s! It is no longer the Kiehl’s classic formula and it needs to be promoted as a different product! This is bait and switch! I started using Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 in the early 1990s, and back then, it was truly an outstanding product. I always assumed the “#1” meant it was the best, and, in my experience, it absolutely was. I spent a lot of time outdoors, especially on the golf course, and I needed a lip balm that provided serious, long lasting protection. Kiehl’s #1 did exactly that. It protected my lips, kept them moisturized, and was a product I could depend on. Unfortunately, after L’Oréal acquired Kiehl’s, the formula was changed, and in my opinion, the product was completely ruined. The current Lip Balm #1 is nothing like the product I used and loved for decades. It does not provide the protection or moisture it once did and actually leaves my lips feeling dry. What is especially frustrating is that customers who had relied on this product for years were not clearly told that the formula had been changed. This isn’t simply a slightly different version, it feels like an entirely different product in the same packaging. Kiehl’s should either bring back the original formula or clearly distinguish the current product as a new formula. Calling it Lip Balm #1 while selling something that performs nothing like the original is extremely disappointing. After using it since the early 1990s, I never thought I would say this, but I can no longer recommend Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1.

Not good
This balm doesn't seem to hydrate my lips at all. I'm a huge fan of many Kiehls staples, but this one needs to be reformulated

The best lip balm I ever had.
Excellent because it smoothen , hydrates and moisturizes my lips . It’s not sticky and gives glow on my lips that looks my lips younger -looking. Keeping this brand . And my sons loves it too especially the mint flavor. And I wanna try the the new Milk Bar lip balm.No regrets .

Make lips dry
Do not recommend. Makes lips dry. I used it mamy times but no improvement. Does not penetrate and stays oily on the lips.
