Beautiful online, disappointing in person

I really wanted to love these trousers, but unfortunately they weren't for me. The positives first: the waist and hips fit well, and I liked the relaxed, straight/wide-leg silhouette. The tailoring seemed true to size. However, there were several issues that made them an immediate return: -The fabric is unlined and very itchy against. -The wool felt much thinner and less substantial than I expected at this price point (felt and looked cheap). -The front pleats added too much volume and flared out from the hips, making me look much wider than I am. They completely overwhelmed my proportions. I am 5'4 and 135 lbs. -They were also extremely long. While hemming would solve the length, it wouldn't solve the overall shape. I had high hopes because the pants look beautiful online, but in person they simply didn't have the luxurious feel or flattering silhouette I was expecting. If you have a taller frame or prefer a very relaxed, pleated look, you may have a different experience. For me, they were an obvious "no."
