Ruined by Reformulation – Not the Original Carbon

I’ve worn Prada Luna Rossa Carbon since 2017, but this "new" version is a total disappointment. It is NOT the same fragrance. The original was a masterpiece: sharp, metallic, peppery, and had those rugged "coal" and "soil" notes that lasted for days on my clothes. This new 2025/2026 version has been stripped of its soul. It is now a generic, "soapy" lavender scent that smells like laundry detergent. The peppery "zing" is gone, replaced by a weak, floral profile that lacks any masculinity. The performance is also a joke. My 2018 bottles were powerhouses; this new formula is a skin scent in 2 hours. Calling this "Carbon" is misleading—the industrial, mineral DNA is dead. Prada/L’Oréal rounded off the edges to make it "safe," and in doing so, they ruined a classic. If you loved the original metallic/mineral dry-down, do not buy this. It’s a soapy shadow of its former self. Prada lost my business with this new one! Definitely do NOT RECOMMEND THIS ONE.
