Smeg Dolce & Gabbana Electric Citrus Juicer Review

Looks fabulous - visitors comment at this new acquisition, and alongside 2 other SMEG appliances. Sturdy and yet a piece of art. Easy to clean as metal and doesn't get citrous stains.

I LOVE this thing!

I've had a Cuisinart citrus juicer that I got for around $40 six years ago that was so loud that my neighbors could hear it. It had an auto-reverse juicing cone that would never reverse, and it would stop spinning and screach loudly every few seconds. It was horrible, but it did the job so I kept using it. In my husband's words, he would see me "cradling and wiping down the juicer like it was a baby even though it was so horrible" and finally convinced me to replace it with a better one. Well, I can't believe I waited so long...this SMEG juicer is GREAT! Just out of the box, you can feel the weight and quality as compared to the cheap juicers. And it's VERY quiet. The juicing cone spins faster than my old one, so it juices faster. I love that the cone and strainer tray are stainless steel. My only wish is that the juice holding tray was stainless steel as well; it is plastic.
