Care Tips & FAQs
-
We recommend either dry cleaning or handwashing your cashmere to maintain it. If handwashing, use lukewarm water and a small amount of mild detergent. Submerge the garment completely and let soak for five minutes. Remove as much water as possible by pressing (never twisting!) your garment carefully, then lay it on a thick, absorbent towel and roll the two together, pressing as you go. Once as much water as possible has been removed, unroll and lay your garment on a fresh towel to dry completely.
-
Cashmere does not need to be cleaned after every wear. We recommend cleaning it, using one of the methods listed above, every five wears. Between washes, you can spot clean your cashmere using mild detergent, and reduce pilling with a lint roller or sweater brush.
-
The best way to store cashmere is folded in vacuum-sealed bags. This will prevent stretching, pilling, and damage by moths.
-
We don’t recommend hanging cashmere sweaters as that can stretch or snag the fibers. Instead, store them using the method above.

Yes! Many people associate cashmere with cooler weather, but the fibers are very breathable, making it an ideal year-round option. Just be sure to opt for a lighter weight cashmere in warm weather.
