    Once upon a time... there was "A Night of Wax and Gold," a holiday tale by Diptyque.

    This year, Diptyque celebrates the season with an invitation to lose yourself in an enchanted story set in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Spirited, wondrous, all aglow with imagination.

    The trio of artists behind this creation echo Diptyque's three founders. Contemporary poet Victor Pouchet created the winter tale, illustrated with surrealism and humor by Parisian illustrator and bookseller Vincent Puente. Inès Mélia, a boldly imaginative artist, works with shapes and materials to infuse a narrative dimension into poetic objets d'art that transform the narrative into tangible form.

    Set in a bookshop in Saint-Germain-des-Prés a few days before Christmas, the tale follows the shopkeeper and his mischievous, highly literate cat, Archibald. The pair discover a peculiar power of attraction in a small pine cone dipped in the shimmering wax of a scented candle. As the pages turn, the alchemy of the holidays unfolds...

    This year, the icons of winter escape from a fairy tale, adorned with surreal designs and golden motifs. Their boxes and wrapping papers become the precious pages of the tale, infused with poetry and light. This fairy tale is a celebration of enchantment, where every detail heightens the magic of the holidays.

Incredible

Absolutely adore this scent. I already have the room spray and now the candle has completed my room. It is a perfect pine Christmas tree scent and I wish it was available all year round. The scent is slightly adapted every year as it is limited edition and I even prefer this year’s scent slightly more to last. It’s a home staple!

Incredible

This is hands down the best pine scented candle I’ve bought. And I’ve tried a few from other luxe brands like MFK and LeLabo! Nothing beats this… smells like I have fresh pine trees in my living room- but there’s also an added depth that this candle gives. This is my 3rd or 4th year buying it and I look forward to it every time!

Fab Holiday Edition

A beautiful limited edition release that will make a lovely gift. The holiday season packaging is a gorgeous design with the whimsical cat adding a touch of joy. The candle is in abeautiful votive which looks lovely when lit on dark evenings creating a luxurious ambience. The candle is from a high quality wax and burns evenly with good throw. Sapin is a clean fresh pine needle scent perfect for the holidays. I also like Baies with its berries at this time of year.

Not for me

This is really pine toilet cleaner-like. It doesn’t smell like a fresh tree and is really overpowering. Mine has also melted strangely after the first use and the wick has fallen into the wax. Not the usual standard of Diptyque so I’m quite disappointed to be honest.

It's Smells Like Chirstmas

I love this time of year when Diptyque release this scent. The packaging changes annually, but the fragrance stays wonderfully true — it really does smell like a Christmas tree, with a touch of something extra and beautifully perfumed. I buy it every year because it’s such a festive favourite, and this year’s packaging is especially gorgeous — it looks luxurious and really special. It also makes a fantastic gift.

Beautifully realistic fragrance

The perfect Christmas tree scent - it's realistic without smelling like pine cleaning products as some other candles have a tendency to do. Perfect if you love the scent of a real tree without the dropped needles everywhere. Burns like a dream and beautifully packaged.
