Great until it’s Not
Took impeccable care of both of the GE ice makers I’ve purchased. Routine maintenance, distilled water only, etc.. and neither one lasted past 1 1/2 years. Absolute trash. Most recent one died yesterday while I was filling a cup for my wife who has been surviving on pellet ice during her chemo treatments. Thanks GE. Buying our next ice maker from any other company.

Sleek design, everyday elevated ice quality
I’ve been using it for a week now. Definitely a heavier and bigger size. Very sleek design, elevate your space. Doesn’t have loud noise compared to the normal countertop ice machine. I usually am very strict with the quality of water and ice intake, so I’m glad that this has been my ultimate ice maker WITH water filter that doesn’t rust. Have different light mode and can connect through wifi. Use the same filter as the coffee machine

After using GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ultra Nugget Ice Maker for a few weeks , I’ve really happy with it . The setup was simple , and the machine has a sleek , modern look that fits nicely in the kitchen. I also like the built in light, which gives it a nice premium touch. Operation is easy and straightforward, and adding water is simple and convenient. You can either connect it directly to a water line using a hose , or simply fill the water reservoir manually. It makes great nuggets ice and has been a fun addition to our everyday drinks.

A splurge product we absolutely love!
The GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ultra Nugget ice maker has quickly become one of our favorite additions to the kitchen. We absolutely love it! For an appliance at this price point, I had high expectations and it’s lived up to them! Set up was surprisingly simple and straightforward and it started producing ice quickly. The nugget ice is exactly what I was hoping for- soft, chewable, and consistently great. It also produces ice fast enough to keep up with regular use in our household, which was one of my biggest questions before trying it. I also really appreciate how manageable the maintenance is. Cleaning, sanitizing and descaling are all straightforward processes, which is especially important for an appliance that deals with water and gets used frequently. I was initially concerned that upkeep might feel like a chore, but it’s been much easier than expected. The Opal 2.0 is definitely an investment and it takes up a decent amount of counter space, so those are both things I would consider before purchasing. If you are someone that genuinely loves nugget ice and will use it regularly- it’s definitely worth the investment! Overall, this feels like a premium appliance rather than a novelty kitchen gadget. It’s easy to use, produces ice quickly and has been simple to maintain. We are extremely happy with it!

The ice maker begins producing ice in about 10 minutes. The nugget size works perfectly for different drinks and helps chill them very quickly. I especially appreciate the magnetic scoop, which attaches neatly to the side and is always easy to reach.The machine feels solid and stable, while still being manageable to move when needed. Operation is simple, and the SmartHQ app makes it convenient to start ice production remotely and shop for filters or accessories.It also pairs perfectly with the GE Profile Brewpal Coffee Maker designed for Opal. Together, the two appliances created a stylish and practical coffee station in our home for preparing both hot and iced coffee.One detail I could not locate in the package was the reservoir side clip referenced in the manual. I would also love to see adjustable ice sizes or an additional snow-style ice mode in the future.Overall, it is a convenient, attractive, and useful appliance for everyday drinks.

Where's the side tank?
This is my 2nd ge profile ice machine. My first one's grinding and squeeling noise came back and wouldn't go away after cleaning. It felt like a total letdown when opening the new box and there was no side water tank included like my first one.

Easy to use
I love this ice maker! I love how easy it is to use AND maintain. These a drawer that opens up where you scoop the ice from. The ice quality is great as well
