At first, I wasn't sure I liked it. Then...

I tried it on a 2nd time w/ some of the other gear I own and I was pleasantly surprised how well it went with that gear and how good it looked! The color is a very rich chocolate brown and is fairly lightweight, and although it's made of canvas, it's not stiff-feeling. My only quibble with this jacket is with the rather large front pocket flaps--they're a bit unwieldy, but overly so.
