Best all-around knife
I had this model for 20 years and it was lost in our recent move—so I immediately bought another! It’s my go-to knife for most tasks, from slicing bread to raw chicken. A fine knife.

Quality is slipping on the smaller knives
I bought this serrated utility knife, along with the 8" bread knife, as replacements for our two older Professional S model knives. The bread knife was the same quality as the one I purchased 33 years ago! The smaller utility knife was a cheap imitation, not the solid feel of the original! The current version is lighter than the original and has a 'cheaper' feel, not the Henkel's quality I've come accustomed to. Sorry, the bread knife was great, the utility knife, not so much.

Works great on breads!
Henckels' knives reallly are some of the best. I bought this knife as a gift for my husband who has begun baking bread, and this knife works fabulously cutting through any breads, including those with a hard crust. Can't wait to try this on tomatoes! I highly recommend this knife.

I have bought many Henckels knives over many years. This does not have the "heft" of those in the past. Just not substantial. Even a small knife like this benefits from some weight to assist in cutting. I don't much attention anymore to the industry, but I suspect, they have been acquired, by someone
