Good, but heavy.

Solid car seat, we’ve been using since newborn stage. Installation in the car is a bit fiddly, but you get the hang of it with time. Note that it is quite heavy.

Unsafe positioning

This car seat was discontinued “to make room for other models” but really it’s because they got so many complaints about comfort after removing the infant insert. They sent out DIY foam kits to solve this issue but my infant is still not sitting properly or comfortably and they refuse to accept a return and refund me. They said I should just buy a convertible car seat from them (for hundreds more dollars) even though she has not yet outgrown this infant car seat. There is an investigation and class action lawsuit forming. I highly recommend not buying this car seat or any other UPPAbaby product due to their poor customer service when there are clear safety issues with their product.

Terrible

I would not recommend this car seat to my enemy. This is sooooooooo uncomfortable and absolute waste of money. Don't do it. No back support head squashed tight generally I just hate it and my baby hated it as well . Short belt . No no no no. This made my life harder after a c section.

Excellent car seat

This car seat is better than the Nuna ones. It supports my baby’s head and neck way better than the nuna infant car seats. I recently purchased the Nuna Rev to replace this one as my son is now 6 months old. I am keeping the Rev, I love the roasting feature, but the seat itself doesn’t feel as snug and secure as the Mesa Max. My son’s neck looked extremely uncomfortable when he fell as sleep—it was completely hunched over at an odd angle. I can see why people give this seat bad reviews, it’s not as luxurious looking as the Nuna models, but I think it’s a better seat overall. The best feature is the oversized canopy. I love I can flip it over and my baby has almost complete privacy and sun protection. I love being able to snap this seat from my car into the stroller. I’m going to try to use this seat for as long as I can.

Uncomfortable and unsafe

I wish we did not get this car seat as part of our uppa system as we've already had to buy a replacement. The seat is uncomfortable for our 3 month old baby. Her chin is forced to her chest and neck looks completely unsupported. Do not buy!!

Terrified to Use This Car Seat

After using this car seat a couple times with my newborn, I am absolutely terrified to ever use it again. My baby's chin is forced into her chest in this car seat and she is inconsolable when in it. Feels like a huge waste of money.

Concerns about breathing due to seat

When I put the baby in, she is curved like a c-shape and makes me very concerned about her breathing. She cries getting into the car seat. We also live in Florida. Even with the A/C blasting she gets overheated. We can't transfer her to the stroller because she gets too hot. Looking to replace. Please contact me about a fix to this issue.
