Heavy, but build quality is unsurpassed
Premium materials and construction, by far the most well-built suitcase I've owned. Appreciate the outside handle allowing for an easy square space to pack in. Only downside is it is quite heavy for a carry-on, even when lightly loaded.

Because my Global 22 inch
Because my Global 22 inch carryon has proven unfailingly reliable for at least a decade of weekly use plus trans continental flights and AmTrack, each of my mission serving grandsons and now my granddaughter receive one along with the medium Baseline expandable. Department store brands do not survive a mission. The medium expandables meet foreign flight size requirements. I recently enjoyed a two week visit with family in Nevada and in Florida. I paired my 22 inch carryon with the large expandable brief case to carry clothing, shoes, cosmetics

3,000,000 Miles and Still Going Strong
I’m closing in on 3,000,000 lifetime miles on United Airlines, and my Briggs & Riley Baseline Global 21” has been with me for a good stretch of that journey. Before this bag, I traveled with a beautiful French Company herringbone set - elegant luggage that served me well for years until it finally surrendered, held together at the end by a thick cord wrapped around a failing zipper. The Briggs & Riley is a different class. Less romantic - think blacked-out business executive sedan - but it travels flawlessly. It fits internationally without a fight, and at 21 inches tall clears domestic sizing with an inch to spare. Over the years I’ve replaced the wheels and handles. When a strap on my garment insert tore, Briggs & Riley replaced it without hesitation. That’s the warranty promise in action. In a few weeks, this bag will be with me when I cross 3,000,000 miles at 35,000 feet. I’m confident we’ll make 4,000,000 together. One small confession: the black replacement handle was backordered, so I accepted a blue one. My sleek, blacked-out executive bag now has a single blue handle…now it has a bit of character.

Not a carry-on for most US airlines
I don’t understand why this is marketed as a carry-on when it’s too wide for most US airlines. United, American, Delta, Alaska all require carry-ons to be 14” wide but this is 15” so it doesn’t fit in the overhead bins. I travel weekly for work and don’t check my bag so this was a complete a waste of money.

I should have purchased this bag years ago. I am a commuting flight attendant and this bag fits perfectly into regional aircraft overheads as well as mainline aircraft. I was concerned that it might be too heavy for me but the weight is evenly distributed. The comparison feature is a game changer. Considering purchasing one for personal use.
