I had an earlier version of this model - the older version had a larger water tank - too bad the new version has a smaller one. More difficult to select the drink I want. Also, depending on how high the coffee dispenser is raised, when the machine rinses, the rinse water does not get into the holes for waster water. The higher up the dispenser is, the more likely the rinse water misses the holes and splashes around. Generally I preferred the old version of the machine.

Probably wouldn’t buy again but I love Miele products
My main complaint is that the name of this model is a misnomer- it is anything but silent. It’s possibly the loudest appliance I own. The water tank is also very small for the amount of water it uses. I have to fill it constantly.

Easy and convenient
Coffee machine is easy to use and set. Convenient for people have a coffee quick in the morning. Water tank is bit small if need brew couple cups of coffee, need refill the water more. Overall I will give 5 stars for the review.

Did not work
It worked for about six cups and then started tripping circuit breakers in the house. Needed to return it. Bloomingdales would not replace it as the specific color was no longer in stock. When I asked about replacing with the exact same model in a different color that was in stock, they declined to do so as I purchased mine on sale.
My second coffee machine
I loved my first coffee machine, CM5200, lasted 12 years. Seems this machine is smaller so there is a constant refilling of the water and cleaning the drip tray. But than last month the brew unit broke. Is it possible to get a brew unit for the old machine and what would it cost. Rolf

Perfect espresso every time, trouble free appliance, well made.
This is my second coffee maker from Miele. We have tried other brands, but they do not match the quality of the final product. The product is pricey, but if a good cup of coffee is major important to you (in my case espresso) and you use it every single day and you get perfect results every single day, you forget about the cost and glad you purchased it.
