  • How To Use It

    - Apply the powder foundation wet or dry for a smooth, refined finish that resists sweat, water, humidity, creasing and transference.
    - To apply wet: Dampen the sponge with water and squeeze out any excess. Use the black side of the sponge to pick up a small amount of product and apply evenly by pressing onto the skin.
    - To apply dry: Use the white side of the sponge to pick up a small amount of product. Apply from the center of the face and sweep outwards, building additional coverage by tapping over areas where needed.

I do buy this product on a regular basis!

Shiseido's Custom Finish foundation is an excellent product because I can use it wet or dry. It allows me to smooth out certain areas and provides an overall great finish.

replacement for discontinued Chanel product

I just tried Shiseido custom finish powder foundation. For many years I used Chanel ultra le teint flawless finish compact foundation which I loved but it has been discontinued. My Chanel color was 12 beige rose and the Shiseido is called 240 quartz. I identified the color using the tool on macys.com. I’m pleased with the coverage so far and it does note that you can use it wet or dry just like the Chanel. I may go a shade or two lighter on my next round since I primarily use it to even the skin tone around my eyes, but this does seem to be a reasonable substitute. The only negative is there’s no sunscreen in it. I couldn’t find a compact that had sunscreen like the Chanel product did.

fantastic!

This is now on my "repurchase" list. It gives a lovely natural finish, and you can use a powder brush to keep it fairly sheer or use the included sponge for fuller coverage. I usually use a brush for daily light coverage, but I love the option to use the sponge for a more polished and finished look if I have an evening event.
