This backpack fits the 16" Apple laptop.

I'm very happy with this backpack. I have wanted to upgrade my travel backpack for a couple of years, but every time I look to see if the backpack will accommodate my 16" Apple laptop, the dimension specifications were always for smaller laptops. Finally, I saw on the Tumi website that this one will fit my laptop whereas, that was not made clear on the Bloomingdales website. This thing has all the different compartments that I love as well.

Great overall backpack

I really like it overall. It I wish it had more zipped pockets inside for important items like a passport.

Looks amazing, but expected better quality for the price

I've owned many Tumi backpacks over the past 20 years or so, and this one stands out as being the most stylish. I always get questions and comments from strangers on it. And as is the case of most Tumi backpacks, the organization is exceptional. It will hold a ton of gear and accessories in a form factor that is not at all bulky or unwieldy. However, I do have a couple of quibbles. The first is that it scratches relatively easily, and the scratches are quite noticeable. I have some scratches on the front pocket and they're white which makes them stand out quite a bit against the black material, and there's really nothing I can do about it to conceal them. Second, the zipper of the upper front outside pocket is of noticeably inferior quality to all of the other zippers. It doesn't feel smooth when it opens and closes, and you have to pull rather hard and with 2 hands to get it to close all the way. On a less expensive bag I probably wouldn't even notice, but on a bag that I paid over a thousand dollars for I expect all components to be of the best quality, and sadly I can't say that for this bag.

Good travel partner

This bag traveled with me from the US to Africa, and it still looks brand new. The compartments were perfect for easy access to my passport and cell phone when needed. It looks amazing, and it is functional. I am very pleased with my purchase, and I am looking forward to adding more miles to it.

Great Looking terrible layout

I was very disappointed with the layout of the pockets and the interior layout as well to say the least. I am not sure who they designed this for but it was not for someone who travels for work. If I was not in a bind and needed a laptop backpack ASAP, I would have sent it back.
