Review is for the bedskirt

I was excited to change my bedskirt, which is such an ordeal because my bed is so heavy. The bedskirt smelled strongly, so I washed it, and when I ironed it, I ruined it. Not so ruined that I can't use it, but the iron, set to high with steam, caused tear-like lines on the skirt part (not on the flat part that goes on the bed). I don't see how this is 100% cotton, given the damage created after ironing.

Came damaged

These came sun bleached, I didn't realize it until after they had been washed and placed on my bed. Bloomingdales refuses to make it right as I have washed them already. Sheets are soft.
