Redesign is now less space
WHY did they redesign the inside ?? the first tumi 19 degrees aluminum was perfect as it had 1 sided pocket and the other side was wide open. the new design has a zipper on both side so can't carry as much ERR. my first one lasted a good 6 years bought a replacement but not too happy w/ the size

Heavy (in a good way) Amazing carry on
This 19 degree carry on is simply amazing. A little heavy yes, but heavy in a “I know I have a quality carry on” heavy. Had lots of room for a Weekend conference in Vegas. Sport coats and all. No problem!! Pairs very well with the Saddleback Leather Flight bag.

Almost perfect.
I love this bag (I have this and the international); my only complaint is that I wish I'd waited a year and got the current model with the full zip dividers. I got mine a year earlier and when I got the international model I was gutted that the continental didn't have the same features. Although the bag appears the same in almost every other way, I MUCH prefer the fully zipped compartments, but it's far too expensive to replace based on this alone. Agreed with the other reviews about scratches; I tried to fight it for a while but eventually I just embraced them. No dings so long as I never gate check it, so I save this for cross-country flights.

Impressive
Beautifully designed, excellent internal organization. This thing turns heads. Small details like the way the latches ‘thud’ open and the soft-close handles put this over the R brand for me. Keep in mind better rigidity with this carryon comes at the expense of a little extra weight. No issues with using it as a carryon with major airlines in the US so far.

Nice style
Build quality is good. Disappointed in Tumi for not putting the initials on the bag like they were supposed to. Picked out the initials and color with the order but they left them off and sent a bag with a blank initial pad. It is heavy compared to the plastic/shell bags.

My new favorite travel luggage!
This is my first luxury travel luggage, After doing research between Tumi or Rimowa I decided to get this one instead. It’s a beautiful sleek design with lifetime warranty. One thing I loved the most was getting my luggage engraved with my 2 initials. Highly recommend this one versus the International.
