Gorgeous Fabric but Horrible Fit

I’m tall and thin. I ordered one size up because of the description that this dress is narrow in the hips. It didn’t begin to fit me. It is an odd shape. The hip area was way too tight. The top portion was super loose. The fabric is a gorgeous, thick satin but the fit is way off. I thought I could get a tailor to slim this down to fit right as I am a classic size 6 and ordered an 8 but there is no way. The proportions are off, at least for me.
