Sheets are a very subjective item, and the "perfect" sheets may not be the same thing for each person. If you want silky feeling sheets that emerge from the dryer wrinkle free, then these are not the sheets for you. However, if you want crisp, light, cool sheets that make you think about someone waking up in a fairytale bed after a long adventure, these are it. These sheets do start off on the "crisper" side, but after several washes, they soften up and become just perfect. They are wrinkly coming out of the dryer, though that also does lessen a bit with time. I remove them promptly from the dryer, and either fold the fitted sheet or put it right on the bed. Then I spend about 15 minutes ironing the pillow cases and the top of the flat sheet where the embroidered detailing is to make it all flat and pretty. But if you don't want to iron and you want wrinkle-free sheets, look for a sateen set and not these percale sheets. For me, they are perfect and I now have 2 sets!

Expensive Scratchy Wrinkles
These sheets are not at all soft and wrinkle terribly. Perhaps they will softened over time, but why should that be necessary for $700 sheets? One positive feature is they fit extremely deep mattresses.
