Inspired by her three young sons, Annette Cook crafted her first collection of children’s clothing from washable satins and cozy knits in 1994. Channeling California ease and soothing colors, she named her company Barefoot Dreams. Media write-ups and celebrity buzz helped the designer expand into selling branded Disney products and chic loungewear.
