What It Is

Essential Defense Mineral Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 32 Tinted Sunscreen is a slightly tinted, lightweight formulation that gives you the highest level of UVA protection available, along with UVB coverage in a mineral shield that is gentle to your skin.

  • What It Does

    - Helps prevent sunburn.
    - Protects against damaging UVA and UVB rays.
    - Will not clog pores.
    - Hypoallergenic.

  • How To Use It

    - Apply in the morning after cleansing, toning and application of treatment products.
    - Apply to your entire face (neck and chest if desired) and other sun-exposed areas.
    - Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure.
    - Reapply at least every two hours.

    Warnings:
    - For external use only.
    - Keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove.
    - Do not use on damaged or broken skin.
    - Do not use if allergic to any ingredient.
    - Stop use and ask a doctor if rash or irritation develops and lasts.
    - Keep out of reach of children.
    - If product is swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
    - UV exposure from the sun increases the risk of skin cancer and other skin damage. It is important to decrease UV exposure by limiting time in the sun, wearing protective clothing and using a sunscreen.

Excellent Product Great Value

I wear this product everyday. It is the first sunscreen that I have consistently worn because of its ease and evenness of application. The silky texture allows for easy layering with other products and does not pill when I put my foundation on top. I apply in an even layer across my whole face (1 pump) and I allow it to set for about 10 minutes before I put on my foundation. I found that it does not clog pores and is breathable, meaning it doesn't feel like I am wearing a mask, like past sunscreens have felt like on my face. One container lasted me 6 months of daily (1 pump) use.

Defective packaging

I bought this 8 months ago and was very happy it although I barely used it in the winter. Now the pump doesn’t work. Blue Mercury store is of no help and suggested I dropped it etc. Hopefully I can pry it open and decant it
