The lighter weight makes a big difference

I tried some other brands from showrooms before deciding to go with this. Glad that I did. The light weight makes a big difference. Had some trouble installing in my Lucid Air. I had to end up using two rolled towels - one on the back and one one the bottom- as per their manual to get it correctly aligned for newborn. Apart from that, no issues

Do not buy

Pros- lightweight. Good head support. Nice material. Cons- My child is only 3 months old (17pounds) and looks like he already outgrew it. I wish I got the MESSA. I can't return it and feel like it was a waste of money. The crotch strap is not adjustable and he sits right on it. The design is poor. Every time he is in it, he instantly throws up. The handle is awkward and uncomfortable to hold compared to other car seats. It's harder to remove from base and stroller compared to nuna and cybex.

Stressful

My baby hates her car seat from uppababy. She screams getting in. She is so scrunched due to the deep seat. Makes me not want to take her anywhere because I feel bad putting her in it. It is very difficult getting her out of it too. It's so tight and she cries. I've removed the newborn seat insert. The back doesn't remove. Only adjusts up or down. She's around 14 pounds now and have had it since she was born. I'd rather hold her than push her in her car seat via stroller which is not sustainable.

Do not recommend

The only thing I like about this car seat is that it's lightweight. The seat is way too deep and my baby never looks comfortable in it. Not to mention, he cries as soon as we put him in it. There's no way your baby will fit in this car seat until they're 30lbs/30inches. I love my other uppa baby products, but I would not recommend this car seat. It's way too expensive to not be able to use as long as advertised. We purchased 3 bases as well so even more disappointed we can't use.
