Best Augustinus Bader Moisturiser
I've tried the famous Rich Cream by Augustinus Bader, and unfortunately, it was too thick. This, on the other hand, is the perfect moisturiser for sensitive, combination skin like mine. I especially love using it after advanced skin treatments, as it soothes the skin and protects the skin barrier during the healing process.

nourishing and not oily
I am mostly comparing this to their Rich Cream which I have tried to like several times and do not rate for sensitive skin. This has a rich cream texture (unlike the RC which is more of a thick lotion). It applies smoothly, and leaves the skin only a little oily. I find this makes a good occlusive (barrier to moisture loss), and gives good nourishment but little hydration, so is good for dry skins but not ideal if you are dehydrated as well. It is more nourishing than the rich cream, and does not give the same persistently oily finish (that one never absorbs on me), so if you do not like that you may like this better. I have sensitive reactive skin, and had no reaction to this while using it. Overall, I'd say this is a far better moisturiser than the rich cream, but is not quite right for me personally, as I need a bit more hydration from my winter moisturiser, and already have a lighter weight moisture balm which is very effective for barrier repair. However if you have dry and/or sensitive skin and want to try an AB moisturiser, this is the one I would suggest if you have the budget. I would give this an extra star, but I really think it is very overpriced, as most Austrian and German skincare seems to be.

Really does soothe
I’ve been using a sample of this at the perfect time as my skin has been feeling very raw and sensitised recently. Since using this cream just as a day cream, my skin has been noticeably less aggravated and much softer. It’s so expensive but if you do have irritated or sore feeling skin- this absolutely worked on me. Also layers well with other products and didn’t pill with make-up.

So smooth!
The ultimate soothing cream is absolutely amazing! The cream is super hydrating and leaves the skin feeling so incredibly soft. It has not caused any breakouts or acne which is amazing so I highly recommend this product as it feels great and very moisturising.

lovely
I have dryy and sensitive skin, especially after loong haul flights. Using this face cream in comparison to the trich cream, I find this more comforting and soothing for my skin, especially on sensitive areas. Wish it wasn't in a jar though as I prefer other packages that has less exposure

RETURNING TO AGAIN!
There is a reason why this little gym is one of the most expensive things in the store. The science behind this fabulous moisturizer alone merit its cost, and that’s not even bringing up the results that it most assuredly brings to the table. I am not a beautiful middle-aged female, I’m a 54 year old man who never used skincare until four years ago. I was very hard on my body, including my face’s complexion for the first 50 years of my life. Believe me, all of you reading this, I need all the help I can get! I would never return to pay this much for a product if it didn’t show me results! Another heads up is, regardless what some smooth talking sales people say, trying to get the same results by buying five different cheaper items… well I ave yet to actually see that achieved! This is THE top shelf moisturizer that I will be returning to again & again!
