beautiful scent

This has been my signature fragrance for a decade. Most perfumes have a base of vanilla. This has a base of ginger. I love it and it lasts long.

Tantalizing

I have a tremendous love for Hermes’s products, currently I own 3 other different perfumes that I am crazy about so I was surprised nor disappointed with Hermes Twilly, the longevity and projection is amazing, you can use this Parfum through all the seasons and have no fear that you will smell amazing.

pleasant, undemanding, not really for me

I have a 15ml bottle of this, and have used it a few times, but while nice enough, I don't think I'd ever want a larger size. It starts with mildly fruity soapy notes, and some soft slightly spicy notes - if this is the ginger, it is tiny baby infant ginger. A vague floral emerges, is this the tuberose? I don't think so. It's so clean and abstract it is like trying to identify a plant through obscured glass - you can see there is a flower of some sort, but can't tell for life of you what, or if there is more than one kind either. Underneath it all are some clean warm musky notes, presumably the advertised sandalwood plus a fair bit of synthetic musk. It carries on in this vein, vaguely floral, with some warm, not really spicy, musky notes. It lasted well, with the base notes still obvious a good 8 hours later, though I had lost interest well before then. It is easy to wear, undemanding, and ultimately not very interesting for me personally. However it is very likeable, and clearly aimed at a younger user than I am. It would be a good gift for someone in their 20s perhaps.
