i’ve been using the oribe supershine light moisturizing cream for probably eight years now, which says a lot because i’ve tried so many leave ins and styling products since then. this is just one that has never fully left my routine. my hair is very long, color treated and there’s a lot of it, but i really don’t like when a leave in makes it feel heavy or like i can tell there’s product sitting in my hair. this one is surprisingly light. i usually use a small amount mostly through my mid lengths and ends, especially wherever my hair is looking a little dry or frizzy. it spreads really well, so even with long hair i don’t need much to get good coverage. what i notice most is how my hair looks after. it smooths everything down a little, makes my ends look less dry and gives my hair a really pretty shine without making it look oily. it also absorbs nicely and doesn’t leave that slippery or coated feeling that some creams do. my hair still has movement and volume afterward, which is a big reason i’ve kept using the light version. the name makes it sound like it’s mainly a shine product, but that’s actually not the biggest reason i use it. for me it’s more of that final polishing step that makes my hair look noticeably more put together. it helps with frizz, softens the ends and just makes the surface of my hair look smoother, especially after styling. ahhhhh and of course it has that oribe scent. i love it and it’s part of the experience for me, but it’s definitely fragranced, so i def think that’s worth knowing if you’re sensitive to scented hair products. the price is probably my biggest complaint. it’s expensive for what is essentially a leave in styling cream. that said, i use so little each time that a bottle lasts me a long time, so the cost per use doesn’t feel quite as ridiculous as the initial price. i also wouldn’t buy this expecting it to deeply repair damaged hair. i’ve used it long enough to know that’s not really its job. if my hair were extremely dry or coarse, i could see wanting something richer underneath it. i think of this much more as a smoothing, softening and finishing product. eight years later, i still reach for it because it’s predictable in the best way. i know what my hair is going to look like when i use it. softer, smoother, shinier and more polished, but still like my hair and not like i loaded it up with product. there are definitely cheaper leave ins out there, but very few have stayed in my routine this long.

Honestly loved this product. The texture, the scent, and of course the performance. This worked well even on my thick frizzy hair to provide increased shine and smoothed texture.

Luxurious Blow-Dry
My absolute favorite cream to use for a blow dry. You only need a small amount to throughly moisturize your hair, and the product absorbs quickly. Blown-out hair is silky soft and frizz-free, with results lasting a few days.
