Finally fell for a Vitamix!
My foodie friends have been telling me for years that I needed a Vitamix, & now that I have one I am happy to admit they were right! I am having a blast seeing what it will do. One thing that especially pleases me is that I don't need to peel or gut tomatoes if I am making a cooked tomato sauce, & good blast with the Vitamix & I have a perfectly smooth sauce with all the nutrients that are in the peels & seeds. And cleaning could not be easier with the preset. Looking forward to exploring this product's many capabilities!

Incredible features and sturdiness.
I love this machine. It's La Machine on roids. It's powerful and can cut and puree anything in it's path. Cheese, vegetables, nuts Large. Etc. It's a dynamo to work with. If you need to grind up small seeds you will need to get the smaller attachments to get the seeds ground. I bought this in 2019 and is still going strong only the drive socket needed replacement. I highly recommend this machine even though you cant purchase this now the new one looks much better. I like that they stopped using the larger rubber stabilizer on the new one as this 3500 has that large rubber piece and it makes it difficult to clean off lol it attracts anything dry. But I will say the finest blender I have used.

I miss my Ninja
I bought this last year to replace my single-cup Ninja blender that I'd had forever. Honestly, I wish I'd kept the Ninja. The size is nice, and it does well making hot dishes like soups and sauces, but my morning smoothies have never been chunkier. I use frozen fruit and spinach, and it cannot process them. Every morning is a battle with this thing to try to get it to blend. I miss the Ninja.

Poor Design, Dangerous and Disappointing
As a design leader (industrial Design) - I am uncertain how this product was allowed to come to market. In addition to being unsafe - the repair package was absolutely ridiculous and unconscionable. If there was a way for me to get my money back i would promptly return this device.

Love my new AS 3500
I really like this new Vitamix. It is an upgrade from my previous basic model that I bought 8 years ago. However, I find the 64 ounce jar very big and bulky for my daily use. Would really prefer 32 or 48 ounce jar. It is perfect for daily use for a family. 64 ounce should be optional to buy it separately.

Using more of my garden veggies!
I made a soup with some tough greens from the broccoli leaves and stems in the garden just before the Vitamix arrived. After blending with our old Ninja, there were unpalatable sharp slivers of broccoli stem, so I was thinking it might just have to be composted. Then the Vitamix arrived and blended it all smooth and absolutely delicious! I'll be able to make better use of so much more of my garden veggies next year! And I'm making tomato soup in 10 minutes for super quick meals, and amazingly yummy zucchini soups with all the zucchini in the freezer from last summer, not to mention the occasional quick treats.

Ridiculous container detect issue
I've had this blender for a little over a year and a half. In that time, the blender base has stopped recognizing the blender container twice. The blender becomes completely non-functional when this happens. The first time happened within two weeks of receiving it and after 3 uses. Vitamix sent me a replacement blender container. I assumed it was just a fluke until this evening when I was deep into cooking and needed the blender. Again, the blender base did not recognize the blender container. This time it was the second container. Shame on Vitamix for putting this unnecessary restriction on what should be a simple kitchen appliance. I wonder how many other people this has happened to and how much waste it's generated with blender containers that are perfectly good except the ID chip in the container. Vitamix didn't even ask me to return the first container so they might refurbish it, so it's basically just an expensive paperweight. Don't buy this blender if you need something reliable.
