Abnormally tight and oddly stitched

Wowwww...these things are tight. I double checked that I ordered the right size against another pair of SPANX. I have a pair of black briefs that do a good job of smoothing. These shorts however, were so tight at the narrowest part of the waist that it left red marks on my dark brown skin that took overnight to go away. The remainder of the shorts fit and compressed like a normal pair of SPANX. Perhaps there was a manufacturing issue, but I cannot wear these again. My advice, don't get these on sale and triple check the fit before committing.

I do not care for the fabric or the color.

Fit is good; however I am disappointed in the fabric used and the shade is misrepresented in the photos. The color is much lighter than pictured, more like a cream color. The fabric is very cotton like which I do think would be comfortable; however under dresses and skirts, the fabric will not have any "slip" and can potentially cause the fabric to get hung up.
