About The Brand

From an unconventional tie to one of the most iconic heritage brands of all time: Ralph Lauren splashed onto the scene in 1967 with a line of ties named Polo, nodding to the designer's love for the sport. A year later, the New York native expanded Polo from ties to a full menswear collection, offering classic American designs in fresh fabrications. In 1970, the designer reached another milestone and this time it was at Bloomingdale's, with the introduction of the first-ever in-store boutique dedicated to a single designer (even before Ralph Lauren itself had a freestanding store). Today the influence of Polo Ralph Lauren is unmistakable. With an instantly recognizable logo and a tradition of crafting luxurious designs rooted in American style, the brand is beloved around the world for its timeless sportswear and impeccable tailoring.

Runs So Small It’s Not Even Worth Trying

Don’t bother ordering his because your size won’t fit. I ordered my regular size in a suit and it’s so far from fitting it ridiculous. Like you would have to size up 2 sizes maybe

Very Nice Tux for the Price

This is a sharp tux - nice fabric, well-made, and good detailing. I sized up from a 46 to a 48, and it fit perfectly. The sleeves are vented for functioning buttons, which I added with no problem. The only (minor) complaint I have is that the buttons are horn. Traditional tuxedo buttons should be satin or grosgrain (to match the facing on the lapel - in this case, satin). The tailor changed the buttons, to satin ones, for me at no cost - so it was never a big issue. And it’s a minor complaint because I know the horn buttons are likely RL’s “take on a classic,” and that black tie rules are loosening. But I’m a traditionalist when it comes to black tie, and I like the satin buttons. Bottom line, at this price I would’ve been hard-pressed to find a more suitable tuxedo. It just doesn’t look like a $1,400.00 tuxedo; it looks more expensive. If you’re a traditionalist like me, don’t forget the cummerbund, studs, and (traditionalist or no) a BLACK bow tie. I have the Purple Label bow tie, and it’s what you would expect - phenomenal.

Unhappy

Order was repeatedly cancelled despite website and store inventories showing our sizes in stock.

Priced for established men. Sized for kids.

Sizing is way off. 42R fit in shoulders but too small in body. 44R, too big in shoulders. Returned both. Since RL changed to custom sizing it’s difficult to find clothes that fit.

Not quite there yet.

I ordered up a size and still missed. I’m a 42R in sport coats. 42R was small and short. I then ordered a 44R, which was large in shoulders. Just can’t get it right.

Tuxedo's are cut smaller than the stated size.

Ralph Lauren cuts small. I usually wear 46L business suits and could not wear this tux in a 48L. It was too tight in the shoulders. They did not offer a size over 48.

Elegant, Classic, and Timeless

It comes with all the timeless features: ventless, single button, jetted pockets, and peak lapels. This tux made me look taller, stronger and younger!!! This rig is total sophistication and swank!!!
