Great knives

The knives are a huge improvement to what we had before. Very sharp and the set includes knives designed for every use we’ve needed. We haven’t had any issues in 2 months of regular use.

Impressive so far

Got this set yesterday and used it for the first time last night, so early impressions but so far so good. Right out of the box the knives are noticeably sharp, went through an onion and some chicken breast with barely any effort. Balance feels really nice in hand too, not top-heavy like some blocks I’ve tried, so control felt natural even as a first use. The handles are comfortable, no awkward grip or pressure points during prep. Only used it once so I can’t speak to edge retention or corrosion resistance long term, but the initial sharpness and build quality seem promising. The block itself looks sharp on the counter too. Will update if anything changes after more use, but so far it’s a solid first impression.

40 years use from a great set

I purchased this set 40 years ago while serving in Germany in the US Army. They have been great, retaining a sharp edge. I hand sharpen them a few times a year on the Zwilling two sided sharpening stone. I also enforce a no-dishwasher rule, and ask that everyone "wash Dad's knives as soon as you are done with them and put them back".

Perfect for our kitchen

Knives came incredibly sharp. The block fits right in with our kitchen aesthetic. The day will have everything we need moving forward.

Beginner friendly!

Very high quality straight from box. I am a beginner and wanted to get knives that would last and be easy to use. Very impressed and would recommend to anyone looking for a life set.
