Takes away that shininess
I have used this product for several years and continually repurchase this item. It is wonderfully hydrating on my 51 year old skin. It tends to last a long time as you only need a little to take away the really shiny parts of my skin. It works well and I find it more controllable that pressed powder.

Soft glow for my face

Hydrating and blurs
Really amazing blurring effect, like it really minimises the looks of pores and leaves a matt finish, and i don’t find that it causes a super white cast. Not reflective as well. It’s also very hydrating, surprisingly, I typically use it underneath my eyes and on my cupids bow. I’ve used this for 3 years now so would def recommend it.

Not worth the hype
Awful flashback....look like a literal panda around the eyes Cakey and creases on me even though marketed as finely milled, super light powder. It feels fine when you initially apply and place on any areas that need to be set, but unfortunately it cakes and creases almost immediately. Emphasises lines and texture. I’m not too sure what goes wrong with this powder as it feels like it’s going to be a super comfortable, lightweight powder but unfortunately that is just not the case. It also goes everywhere which to some extent so you get with loose powder but it's like a cloud of white smoke

Perfect

A nice lightweight powder
Just like the pressed powder this is also quite decent. It is a lightweight powder that looks natural on the skin without looking cakey or dry. I feel like it is slightly brightening without leaving any whitecast. I'm fair skinned so I can't tell if it would work on deeper skin tones. I personally prefer the pressed version as it is less messy and I feel like I have a bit more control with the amount of product that gets used. Would still highly recommend though!

I wanted to love this...
but I just don't. On the good side, I like the fine texture, it mattifies well, and it adds no odd colour cast to my face (Laura Mercier translucent is yellow on me). On the negative side, unless I use a very small amount, this is drying, and that is a problem for me. I think that to some extent it does not matter how much hyaluronic acid you add to silica, it is just a very drying ingredient, and with no actual moisture in the product, the extra hyaluronic may well just be taking water from my skin instead of adding it.
