Complimentary to my skincare
I have enjoyed using this brand of skincare for a few years now, and added to the different layering options in time. The serum is a most essential stage to achieving a smooth and soft complexion, after cleansing and applying the Essence, and before using face cream. I use the serum at nigh time for best results, and allowing it to work its magic while my skin rejuvenates overnight. It is easy to apply, gentle and smooth, and a little is all that is needed. It is vital for aiding moisture retention in my skin, now that the home heating is on in the colder weather. It is a unmissable stage in skincare routine prior to bedtime.

I received this serum in the Space NK advent calendar. I know many people dream about getting Augustinus Bader products this way, but I must admit I don’t share that enthusiasm. The serum has a lovely texture — a creamy emulsion that’s fast-absorbing, spreads beautifully on the skin, and layers well with other skincare and makeup. The formula is decent, including several antioxidants, humectants, a peptide, and a derivative of vitamin C. The packaging is all gold and undeniably luxurious. It’s worth noting that by adding this serum to the advent calendar, the store increases its value by about one fifth. But does it really add that much value? Not sure. Not for me. The only effect I noticed was hydration. Would I repurchase? No. Would I appreciate other brands’ serums in the advent calendar with more reasonable prices but equally high-tech formulas? Definitely yes. I realize I may be in the minority, but this serum just didn’t feel worth it for me.

I received this in the 2024 advent calendar otherwise it really wouldn’t have been something I would have purchased. There’s a lot better “cheaper” products but also so many more higher end products if you want a luxurious feel. I didn’t feel like it even did anything for me, it was nice to use but will never purchase it as there’s so many other serums/retinols out there that will give you results. And not cost hundreds!!

Overpriced and underwhelming
I understand that this is a super-premium brand but I can't get over the ridiculous price of this serum. I am not averse to splurging on skincare but this is another level and if you are going to pay over £300 for a 30ml serum it had better perform miracles to justify its cost! I got the 15ml in last year's advent calendar and I have enjoyed using it as it was nicely hydrating and the fancy packaging looks beautiful on my vanity and... really that's it - there is nothing outstanding about it and I can get something equivalent for much MUCH less money.

I received this serum as part of the 2024 SpaceNK advent calendar. I really enjoy using this serum, I find that it is very light weight and absorbs in quickly. It has a faint pleasant scent. The packaging is very luxurious also. However, due to the price I do not think I would repurchase this product.

Although it is a bit expensive, it is excellent. The serum has a lightweight, smooth texture, absorbs quickly, and provides instant and lasting deep hydration, making the skin feel softer and more elastic, and visibly reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The light consistency makes it suitable for all skin types, and it feels very comfortable when used with the matching cream. My skin is dry and I love it. I believe it’s useful for anti-aging.

Nice
I received this product in last years Space NK advent calendar. To use the product (experientially and psychologically) was a treat as the packaging is lovely and I know that it is a really expensive product, so when using it I allowed myself to buy into a bougie princess moment. The serum goes on lovely and left my skin feeling nice. Unfortunately I did not see a dramatic enough difference that I would pay the full price for it. It may be that you might notice more results with longer use? I feel that there are other serums that even on application I feel do more for my particular skin instantly. So, overall, nice product but not wow enough for me to pay full price.

Luxury Skincare I Wouldn’t Normally Buy
I was delighted to receive The Serum in the SpaceNK Advent Calendar, as it’s not something I would have purchased for myself. The texture is beautifully lightweight and absorbs effortlessly, leaving my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. While I haven’t seen dramatic results yet, I appreciate the opportunity to experience such a luxurious product as part of my skincare routine. It feels like a true indulgence, and perhaps with continued use, the benefits will become more visible.
