little disappointed on the quality control

I love this scent, the sparkling cuvee! So I decided to try the large hearth version on the Black Friday deal. I know I bought this on promotion, but I still expect the quality to be better for the price. Mine came with black marks on the glass that I couldn't remove (burn marks?) and a few small chips. And there was melted wax on the glass above the surface. But the wicks didn't look to me like they'd been burned so I don't know that it had been used and returned. Perhaps it's just really hard to mail these out without damage? Or they sit in the warehouse for too long without inspection before going out? Or they're on display for too long without being tended to? I had read great things about the vessel so I was just disappointed about the markings and chips on mine. I'm afraid to exchange it for fear I'll get something similar, or it will be further damaged on the way back, if that's what happened. I also bought a few of the smaller jar candles and they're great! I hate to give it two stars, because I love the scent! But the rating is just a heads up for folks who are excited about purchasing the hearth size and won't be satisfied if it doesn't arrive in excellent condition. Perhaps buying from Voluspa direct would be better?
