expensive rain boots - not cute, not for petites
I've been searching for a knee high black riding boot for a year now and still haven't found the right one. This one is not it. Cons - too tall (I'm 5'2" for reference) - the calf opening is not very wide and the space at the ankle almost bulges/buckles when you put it on giving the appearance of rain goulashes, not cute Pros - the leather is soft I guess if you have really skinny tall long legs this would work for you but otherwise try something else
Wrong boots or item description is wrong
These are not the boots pictured although they came in box marked with the correct name. There is no zipper on these and they are a different style. I purchased these at a good sale prize point but customer service could not reorder another pair at that prize point untill I returned these. The boots are on sale again at a higher prize point and by the time i get to the store to return they will be sold out. I have reordered them at the higher price point. So we will see if the online description is wrong or if I just received the wrong boot.

They are true to size. They’re so beautiful and comfortable. I love them so much. I got a lot of compliments.

Odd fit
Didn’t like. I thought they’d be perfect since the leg shaft opening was more narrow than others this season. Fit is weird. Narrow and uncomfortable in the toes for me. When you look at them from the outside of the leg they look cute but from the inside leg side (where the half zipper is) they resemble galoshes for the rain. Not the look I was going for. The half zipper as it is just doesn’t work there. It makes the inside of boot scratchy and uncomfortable and when you move it bends like bulky galoshes. Also the zipper refused to lie flat once zipped so it stuck out on a right angle.
Love at first sight
I purchased these boots online with a reputable company, Bloomingdale 's, feeling confident in a safe transaction. I saw these boots and knew right away I wanted to have them as part of my wardrobe. They are versitle and can be formal or casual. I wear a size 6 and they fit perfectly. A little snug at first, but kept them on and pretty soon they felt as comfortable as a pair of slippers! Love the color of these boots and they look great on. Not too stiff. Would definitely recommend.
