The first time I used it I checked it and it came back with a lot of scratches and marks. Disappointing. It's just not durable and it's easily damaged. But it is a nice-looking piece of luggage before it's used.

Unwieldy and Too Square
I'm generally a big fan of Tumi but find this suitcase to be a bit of a miss. For context, I've used it for a few international trips. Frankly it's just too square and as a result is far more challenging to utilize and move with than a suitcase with a similar amount of internal space but that is slightly taller and less deep. It also looks cheaper than other Tumi's in my opinion.

Just replaced a Latitude (discontinued) with this one and took first trip overseas. Love this more than the Latitude. Slightly heavier, but seems more durable and definitely a great looking case. I easily packed for our 2+ week trip in this case… I think the short trip case is a great checked bag size and is bigger than the short trip version of the Latitude. Wouldn’t go bigger unless you really tend to overpack.
