Item is too wide across

Item is too wide across the shoulders yet too tight to button in the front. Arms are too long as well. Unsure whether I should side down to have it fit the shoulders and arm or side up so it can button in the front

The fit is beautiful. The button is in the perfect spot, the nipped in waist is very flattering, perfect length of jacket and sleeves, the entire shape is beautiful. That said, I had to remind myself that if you stretch your arms very far forward in a well fit blazer, there will be a little tension behind the shoulders. Great to dress up or down with jeans.
