It's True Love

Like the reviewer before me, I bought these knives for my husband. That was about 15 years ago, and as time went on I took over all the cooking. I feel like I waited way too long to invest in decent knives, but these were well worth the wait. And as the description indicates, you will wonder how you ever lived without these scissors in your kitchen!

Yes to the Shun!

Amazing. Well worth the money. Very happy with the Shun Classic 7-pc Cutlery Set. It was the gift from my husband. The knives are very sharp and well crafted.Comparing these knives to your ordinary is like night and day. Please do read and follow instructions for Use and Care. Do not "throw" them in the sink with other items. Hand wash, dry, and put away. Protect your investment. In addition to the set, I also purchased the Shun Premier 5.5" Nakiri. Will buy more to fill the block!

Best Knife Ever!! 7 stars!!

My husband asked this for a gift so I got curious why it was so expensive considering my husband is cheap. I called a cousin who is a chef in Dubai's ultra-luxury hotels and she says they use this knife at work and she recommends it. I figured if its good enough for them, it must be really good! Husband was happy to get his knife. Even though its a little bit pricey, the knives are well made and looks very durable. Happy with the purchase!

These are the best knives you'll ever own!

I've owned this set for about 2 years now. These knives are hands down the greatest knives I have ever owned. They are made in Japan with a thinner blade that requires great care when using, cleaning and storing them. I treat these knives with great respect by having a proper cutting surface, such as wood, and I clean and dry them immediately. They always get stored in their original block. I hone the chef's knife apx. once a month and sharpen it annually with a sharpening stone. I gave a chef's knife to both my father and my sister(who is a caterer) as a gift a few Christmases ago and they are both equally pleased. I can slice vegetables paper thin with precise strokes no other knife can give me.
