Very strange fit

I have a lot of Lysse pants and people compliment me on them all the time. Most work beautifully on me in a medium. This was too big and too long in the waist somehow, without the wonderful cinch. I didn't really see the point of the faux pockets in the front - they just seem to be there to suggest elongation together with the seaming in the back. Maybe in a small it would have worked but it isn't gorgeous enough to try.
