Pretty, but not very practical

I love the blue "double strap" Lauren nightgown (also purchased here), and thought this would be the same. It's a woven somewhat sheer poplin rather than a knit, meaning it doesn't stretch at all. The first time I wore it, one of the straps ripped off. Beautiful fabric, but not particularly comfortable as a nightgown.
